1 Large Onion
1 lb Ground Beef or Turkey
Salt & Pepper
1 Green Pepper
1 Lg can Crushed Tomatoes
1 Lg can Chopped Tomatoes
16oz box Pasta
1 cup Sharp Cheddar, shredded
1 cup Mozzarella, shredded
Saute chopped onion in a large pot with a little olive oil. Add the ground meat and break apart as it browns. Add the diced green pepper and salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally for a few minutes until the meat is cooked through.
Add the cans of diced and crushed tomatoes. Combine well and simmer, covered for 15 minutes.
In the meantime, cook the box of pasta in plenty of well salted boiling water.
Combine pasta and sauce in a large lightly greased baking dish. Sprinkle evenly with shredded cheese. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes at 350F.
Remove foil and broil for 5 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and browned.
Serve with crusty bread and salad.
