Navicore Solutions is currently seeking an Application Developer join our IT Department. This is a full-time, fully remote position — and we provide all the equipment you need.
Role Description
As an Application Developer, you will assist with the ongoing development, maintenance, and support of internal applications built within Revelation Software OpenInsight 9.x.
What to Expect:
- Assist with the development, testing, debugging, and maintenance of internal applications using Revelation Software OpenInsight and Basic+.
- Support the migration from OpenInsight 9.x to OpenInsight 10.x, including testing and converting forms, queries, procedures, and other application components.
- Respond to routine internal helpdesk requests related to supported applications, database functions, and system processes.
- Perform routine database and application maintenance and resolve minor bugs to support system stability and reliability.
- Create and modify data views, reports, queries, procedures, and data import/export processes to meet the operational needs of internal departments.
- Develop and execute test cases and assist with test plans to validate system enhancements, upgrades, bug fixes, and application changes prior to implementation in production.
- Document code changes, application functionality, system processes, troubleshooting procedures, and migration activities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development, or a related field; equivalent technical training, bootcamp education, certifications, or relevant experience.
- 1–2 years of software development or programming experience; relevant internships, academic projects, and other practical development experience are welcome.
- Strong understanding of fundamental programming concepts, including variables, loops, conditional logic, functions, and data structures.
- Basic understanding of database concepts and experience or coursework involving SQL, NoSQL, relational databases, or similar technologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent time management, multi-tasking, communication and organizational skills.
- Ability and willingness to learn specialized programming languages, database technologies, and legacy and modern application environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, well-documented work.
$35.58 per hour.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9-5pm-EST. Could be flexible if necessary.
