Navicore Solutions Receives Over 2 Million in Funding

“We are very pleased to announce that Neighborworks America has awarded Navicore Solutions over $2 million in funding as part of their NFMC Program!” said Diane Gray, Vice President of Counseling and Education at Navicore.

The National Foreclosure Mitigation Counseling (NFMC) program, launched in December 2007 with funds appropriated by Congress, addresses the nationwide foreclosure crisis by dramatically increasing the availability of housing counseling for families at risk of foreclosure.

NeighborWorks America distributes funds to competitively selected grantee organizations, which in turn provide the counseling services, either directly or through sub-grantees.  Navicore Solutions will utilize this grant to fund applicable housing counseling sessions provided to homeowners in need, as well as program oversight and management.

“This particular award is the highest we've received to date as a result of any grant submission and commendable given the competitive federal funding environment.  This is a tremendous accomplishment for our organization!  We look forward to the continued provision of housing counseling services.” said Diane Gray.

The National Foreclosure Mitigation Counseling (NFMC) Program has awarded funding totaling more than $39.9 million for this round of the program.

In total, more than 840 nonprofit counseling agencies and local NeighborWorks organizations across the country are expected to be engaged in the NFMC Program as a result of these awards. To date, more than two million families in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. Territories have received foreclosure counseling through the NFMC Program since it began in 2007. It is estimated that more than 122,600 families facing the threat of foreclosure will be directly assisted with these awards.
