Manalapan, NJ – May 20, 2020: Navicore Solutions announced a grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation in support of their COVID-19 Financial Recovery Program, providing key services and connecting families to critical resources and guidance to ensure they maintain housing stability during these challenging times.
The Wells Fargo Foundation COVID-19 Housing Counseling Support (HCS) initiative will help national nonprofit housing intermediaries, local housing counselors, and nonprofit housing providers to support housing stability for more than 100,000 renters and homeowners across the U.S. facing financial challenges. Strategies include expanding the capacity of housing counselors to respond to renters and homeowners as well as supporting nonprofits that provide affordable rental homes and services.
“We are incredibly grateful for the generous support from the Wells Fargo Foundation as it will enable our organization to assist thousands of households nationwide,” said Diane Gray, Navicore Solutions’ Vice President of Counseling and Education. “Our core approach is holistic in rapidly responding to this crisis by providing guidance and resources to help families and individuals retain their housing and financial stability.”
Navicore Solutions has been assisting individuals and families in financial distress since their inception in 1991. During the Great Recession, their services became invaluable, especially to households that found themselves at risk of foreclosure and/or over indebted. As a nonprofit housing intermediary, they have the experience and expertise to provide financial guidance to individuals and families during these trying times, and their services are needed now more than ever. Counselors serve as housing advocates to provide personalized guidance and resources and are available to households throughout the country through their national hotline.
The grant for Navicore is part of the Wells Fargo Foundation’s $175 million commitment to assist people and communities in response to COVID-19. More than 300 grants have already been made by Wells Fargo since March to help nonprofits provide urgent housing services for renters and homeowners facing financial challenges. The Wells Fargo Foundation philanthropy strategy is focused on keeping people in their homes, small business support and financial health in collaboration with national and local organizations.
“During this unprecedented time, too many people are struggling financially and facing housing instability,” said Eileen Fitzgerald, head of housing affordability philanthropy with the Wells Fargo Foundation. “Wells Fargo has a deep commitment to advance housing affordability solutions. We are proud to support the work of Navicore Solutions as they serve a vital role in helping renters and homeowners facing financial difficulties.”
